Damion Hankejh, Co-Founder
Damion Hankejh invented online customer service before IBM coined “eCommerce.” He co-founded InstantService to deploy the first carrier-class Internet telecommunication service for contact centers and businesses, and InstantService was awarded the patent for Web customer service (U.S. Patent 6,915,336) in 2005.
In 1996 Hankejh founded Ingk to focus on Internet technologies applied in commerce, medicine and philanthropy. His subsequent research set the stage for the first accredited international virtual operating rooms, tele-remote robotic-assisted surgery, and advances in global HIV/AIDS awareness.
Hankejh's professional career began with a summer job at Hewlett-Packard, when he was just 15 years old, where he worked with the senior research and development team on the first implementation of PostScript in HP printers. After attending MIT, he handled a host of consulting projects on behalf of HP, IBM and GE.
Honored as a Smithsonian Laureate and patent-holding inventor, Hankejh continues to support startups, and established companies, with his partners in Ingk, and serves as CTO of ActiveCause in New York City.
